DIRECTIONS:

From Columbia in the California Mother Lode, take Italian Bar Road (Columbia's Main Street) north and east past the LDMA property at Italian Bar. At the first fork beyond Italian Bar, bear left. At the second fork, bear right. Follow the small dirt road on the right just before crossing Rose Creek. Good Parking Area. Access not suitable for wide, high or long vehicles.

Reported by Richard Carl. Camping quarter mile from claim and it is a downhill walk. Watch out for mosquitoes and poison oak they are plentiful on this claim. Ok camping, good size turnaround. No open fires!!!!

PROSPECTS

The river gravel yield nice color. High bank the hillside and bring gravel to the stream to wash. Normal is 2 to 4 Dwt. per day with nice size nuggets.
