Best time to work is mid summer, but work at night because it is too windy in the fall. Area is very windy. Dry wash at night and pan under an awning or in shade during the day. Lots of mines around to explore (beware of shafts), good camping. Randsburg has services. Be sure to visit Schmidts tunnel in the El Paso Peak area. Look for Garlock on Garlock Road you will find a large well on highway turn north in wash go 1 mile. Claim is on side of hill clearly marked with 4x4 white posts (one of the few clearly marked gpaa claims). Binoculars help white posts stand out in red dirt of Goler Wash.

PROSPECTS:

Good gold here. Gold is concentrated in gullies, usually small nuggets (pinheads). Richard said he pulled 2 Dwt. in 4 hours at the divide between 1 and 2 in a wash area.
