DIRECTIONS:

This claim is located right on highway 96 just west of Hamburg. There is a camping area at the top end of the claim.

REPORTS:

Stay away from the private property to the east, the owner is a real ass. This claim used to be owned by friends of mine (Jeff, Paul and Larry -- hence the name JPL). They used an 8" production dredge up the gut of the river and the deeper banks, so there shouldn't be much there.

PROSPECTS:

I have dredged above and below this claim and the minimum dredge size that is useful here is an 5" dredge. The gravels are deep in places and shallow in others. High Banking is good on the gravel bar across the river, but you'll need a boat to get there. The river is deep on this claim. I have dredged in 30' of water on the claim above here. There is lots of gold on this claim for high banking and larger dredges. 8" dredge would be best though.
