INFORMATION: "DiscoveRIn Rhode Islands Treasures" is a Historical Research & Metal Detector Recovery Society. Our goal is to find & preserve Rhode Island & Eastern Connecticut's history. Members are expected to donate some of their finds to a local museum, to a Historical Society or to our club's museum.
If you contact us, our club will search for your lost rings or jewelry (free of charge); up to a reasonable time limit.
We can also volunteer to assist the Police finding crime evidence.
Our club meetings are every month except June, July, and August. These summer meetings will be field trips.
Our other meetings will be the third Sunday of every month at Charlestown, RI. Cross Mills Library on Route 1A at 12:30pm.
The meetings are approximately 2 hrs long, with special speakers on different subjects such as Metal Detecting, Goldmining, Dowsing, Coin collecting and cleaning, Rocks and Minerals, etc. Then after the meeting we go on a field trip.
If there is any changes to the meeting times or locations it will be posted in our newsletter "d.I.R.t." on this web site, and mailed to those who don't have internet access.
